I have been recording and producing reggae and dancehall artists since 1985. In 2002 that became riddimBank, which was the first place anywhere to sell 24-bit, song-length reggae multitracks — real sessions with real players, not loops.
The work has not changed much: build the riddim, cut the vocal, mix it, master it. What changed is that the tracks now go out to producers who were not in the room.

Three records
Edi Fitzroy — Hold the Vibes (2006)
Sixteen tracks, produced for riddimBank with Adam Heller of King Step Recordings and Edi himself for Confidence Music. Released in California in the summer of 2006; number 5 on the Miami and Los Angeles reggae charts the following year. I also played keyboards behind Edi at the Monterey Bay Reggae Festival in 2010.
Chelem — We the Citizens (2020)
Chelem Bassie played bass and was musical director for the Itals’ Jah Children. He died in 2011 without ever releasing a record of his own. We had recorded all of those songs with him and co-written most of the music, so we went back to the rough mixes, cleaned them up and finished the album he never got to finish.
Stevie Culture — the sample banks
Stevie sang lead for Jamaica’s S.A.N.E. Band through the 1990s and has sung on riddimBank banks for years — including Yard Talk Vol. 1, three hundred Jamaican vocal stabs in his own voice, for producers to drop into their own tracks.
